Today SD8 celebrates all employees whose work inspires and supports each learner to thrive in a caring learning environment.

SD8 also recognizes union partners and partner organizations and associations whose work supports SD8 employee groups.  

This is a statutory holiday and all SD8 facilities and offices are closed.

Labour Day precedes the first day of the 2026-2027 school year.
