Kootenay River Secondary School is located in the beautiful valley of Creston which is part of the East Kootenay region of British Columbia.  The town has a population of approximately 5,000 with the surrounding communities bringing the total to 15,000. KRSS is part of School District #8 (Kootenay Lake) and has approximately 500 students in grades 8 to 12.
