Clubs 

Salmo Secondary offers clubs throughout semester one (S1) and/or semester two (S2). One time annual fees may apply: 

  • Basketball ($50 fee - S1)
  • Cross Country Running ($50 fee - S1)
  • Golf ($50 fee - S2)
  • Ski/Snowboard Team ($50 fee, student pays for lift tickets and travel costs - S1/S2)
  • Volleyball ($50 fee - S1)

Salmo Secondary, in Salmo, BC, offers a peaceful rural setting. Students live with homestay families, experiencing Canadian culture and community life. Transportation includes a public bus for students within 2.5 km and a school bus for longer distances.

Recreation options abound, with access to Kaslo Golf Course, Kaslo Adventure Center, and nearby ski hills. Salmo Ski Hill is just 5 minutes from school, offering students outdoor fun and active living in a supportive, friendly environment. Popular White Water Ski Resort is 30 minutes from Salmo, and Red Mountain Resort is 40 minutes away by car. These community amenities allow students to stay active, connect with friends, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.

The orientation process includes airport pick-up with a Welcome Package, in-person school orientation on day one, a two-hour virtual session covering health and safety in the first week, and monthly ambassador meetings offer ongoing support.
