Kindergarten registration for SD8 opens January 5, 2026.
Our kindergarten program creates the foundation for your child's positive learning journey - encouraging children to play and learn through a variety of experiential education opportunities to support their emotional, social, physical, intellectual and creative development.
How do I enrol my child in kindergarten?
- Children may start kindergarten in September of the year they turn five years old.
- You are encouraged to apply before February 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM at your neighbourhood catchment school.
- Download the registration form and bring your child's long-form birth certificate, proof of citizenship for the parent (your passport or birth certificate), 2 pieces of proof of home residence (See above section - What to Bring with You for Enrolment), and BC Services Card when registering. If applicable: please bring custody paperwork (court documentation).
